Here are some things to do between visits to your area.

Check the Environmental Notification Bulletin Board on the BLM Website www.blm.gov/utah/utah. This site gives current updates on BLM areas by township and range map coordinates. Look for notices involving your unit area.

Correspond with your in-state/out-of-state Adopter Partner (send an email, letter etc.) to give each other updates on the status of your unit.

Submit an article about your adopted unit to the Sierra Club Adopter newsletter.

Send a report of the visit to your unit to the Adopter's Coordinator at the Sierra Club utah.wilderness@sierraclub.org or 2273 South Highland Dr. Suite 2D SLC, UT 84106. Please include some nice photos from the field.

Write a letter-to-the-editor of your local newspaper about your adopter visit.

Visit the BLM Field Office of your unit and introduce yourself to the people responsible for managing your area. Try to develop a friendly relationship with them.
